Amy Smart
Amy Smart was an American model as well as actress. She was raised in California in the USA. The career in modeling began in Italy. Her debut as an actor came in 1996 when she was in 'Her Costly Affair,' the first TV film. After a very difficult transition, she landed a small part in the film 'Starship Troopers.' It was an extremely difficult time to make the transition from modeling to acting since model models were rarely thought of as actors and were often assigned smaller roles that were insignificant. Amy didn't give up. She outdid herself in her previous roles in the '70's' series and the movie Varsity Blues. The romantic comedy film "Just Friends" starring Ryan Reynolds gave her her first major role. The film became a massive box office success and Amy had finally found the recognition that she was searching for for nearly a decade. She was still working on major movies, including the "Crank" film, which featured Jason Statham.
